Modern Times is a 19-part American silent comedy film written and directed by Charlie Chaplin, whose iconic Little Tramp character struggles to survive in the modern, art world. The film is a commentary on the situation created by Chaplin from the point of view of modern industrialization - the situation created and the dismal employment and financial conditions many people face with extreme crisis. The film stars Chaplin, Paulette Goddard, Henry Bergman, Tiny Sandford and Chester Conklin. It is notable that this is Chaplin's last of the iconic Little Trump characters.
